Scoutly terms of service

Last updated: 2026-07-13.

The service

Scoutly searches the web for UK work-experience opportunities matched to your school year group and interests, keeps them in your portfolio, and emails you a report once a week on the schedule you choose. Opportunities come from third-party websites: we do our best to match genuine, current programmes but cannot guarantee accuracy, availability, or that any application will succeed. Always check the provider's own page before applying.

Price and renewal

Cancelling

Your cooling-off rights (UK Consumer Contracts Regulations)

Scoutly is a digital service supplied immediately: your subscription starts, and reports can be generated, as soon as you subscribe. By subscribing you expressly consent to the service being supplied within the 14-day cancellation period and acknowledge that you lose the statutory right to cancel the purchase once the service has been supplied. You can still cancel the ongoing subscription itself at any time as described above.

Refunds

If something went wrong — for example you were charged but received no report — email shailenjpatel@gmail.com and we'll put it right, including refunds where appropriate. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Under-18s: parent or guardian pays

Accounts for students in Years 9–13 are welcome, but the subscription must be set up by a parent or guardian, who becomes the contracting and paying party. Students send the invite from their billing page; the parent reviews these terms and completes payment themselves.

Your account

Changes

If we change these terms or the price, we'll email you before the change affects you, and you can cancel first.
